Description:

The registered nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care using the nursing process.

Accepts responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role appropriate tasks in the implementation of care.

Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Demonstrates empathy and compassion when providing patient and family-centered care.

Maintains integrity by being responsible for personal actions and promises.

Utilizes resources wisely and shows pride in professional responsibilities.

Demonstrates agility by taking initiative to find creative solutions and responding promptly to concerns.

Works collaboratively with colleagues while respecting diverse viewpoints.

Commits to quality improvement and contributes to team accomplishments.

Creates and maintains a safe work environment and reports unsafe conditions.

Implements physician orders as written and ensures availability of necessary equipment and supplies.

Physical demands include exerting significant force to move objects and patient handling activities.

Position requires emotional regulation and self-control to manage urgent situations calmly.

Ability to communicate empathetically and supervise others professionally is essential.

Demonstrates strong organizational, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving skills.

Cognitive function areas needed include attention, memory, perception, and thought.
