Staff RN

The registered nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care using the nursing process. Accepts responsibility for the direction of co-workers and delegation of role-appropriate tasks in the implementation of care. Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with established policies and procedures. Demonstrates empathy by understanding others' perspectives and treating others with compassion. Maintains integrity by taking responsibility for actions, delivering on commitments, and achieving excellence through ethical behavior.

Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care according to the nursing process. Provides education for patients and families throughout the care process.

Documents the nursing process accurately and legibly. Notifies the physician of pertinent observations and changes in patient status. Administers medications and performs treatments safely and accurately. Implements physician orders as written. Ensures equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care, reporting malfunctions appropriately. The position requires the ability to manage high-stress situations and communicate empathically with patients. Strong organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Physical demands require the exertion of significant force to move objects.
