Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

The registered nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care using the nursing process. Accepts responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role appropriate tasks in the implementation of care. Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance to the established FMC policies, procedures and guidelines.

Job Qualifications:

  • Education:

    Associate degree in nursing. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    Valid license to practice in our client Ohio. CPR required.
  • Experience:

    Previous nursing experience preferred.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assess, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care of each patient according to the nursing process. Provides quality care based on assessment needs and established plan of care/pathway. Provides education for the patient and family/significant other from admission through discharge process.
  • Provides thorough, concise, accurate and legible documentation of the nursing process/pathway. Notifies physician of pertinent observations and changes in the status of the patient. Administers medications and performs treatments in an accurate safe manner. Implements physician orders as written.
  • Assures equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care, reporting malfunctions to proper department.
