RN - PCU

Staff RN - 7pm to 7:30am

The registered nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care using the nursing process. Accepts responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role-appropriate tasks in the implementation of care. Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care of each patient according to the nursing process.

Provide quality care based on assessment needs and established plan of care/pathway.

Educate the patient and family/significant other from admission through discharge process.

Document the nursing process/pathway accurately and concisely.

Notify physicians of pertinent observations and changes in patient status.

Administer medications and perform treatments safely and accurately.

Implement physician orders as written.

Ensure equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care, reporting malfunctions to the appropriate department.

Completion of an accredited nursing program resulting in a valid license to practice in the State of Ohio.

CPR certification required.

Previous registered nursing experience preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to handle multiple priorities and make independent decisions.

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

This position operates on a 7pm to 7:30am shift.

This is a 13-week contract position.
