Staff RN – Medical/Surgical

Lancaster, OH

Contract | Full-Time | Night Shift | Onsite

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process from admission through discharge
• Administer medications and perform treatments accurately and safely, and implement physician orders as written
• Notify the physician of pertinent observations and changes in patient status in a timely manner
• Provide patient and family education throughout the care continuum
• Maintain thorough, concise, accurate, and legible documentation of the nursing process
• Direct and delegate role-appropriate tasks to nursing assistants and co-workers in a professional manner

• Completion of an accredited nursing program resulting in a Diploma in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Valid Registered Nurse license to practice in the State of Ohio
• Current CPR certification
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to make independent decisions
• Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to perform heavy-duty physical work, including exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and frequent patient handling

• Previous Registered Nursing experience in a clinical setting
• Experience working in a Medical/Surgical nursing environment
• Familiarity with AIDET and TeamSTEPPS communication frameworks
