Role OverviewThe Senior Lab Technician is responsible for overseeing daily laboratory operations while actively supporting laboratory testing and analytical activities. This role provides technical leadership, quality oversight, and operational coordination.
Key Responsibilities- Lead daily laboratory operations and workflow prioritization.
- Oversee testing, data review, and reporting.
- Train and mentor laboratory personnel.
- Maintain SOPs and quality systems.
- Manage equipment calibration and maintenance.
- Support safety, compliance, audits, and continuous improvement.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Biological Science, Chemical Engineering, or related scientific field preferred.
- Relevant laboratory, quality, environmental, or analytical certifications are a plus.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or related scientific discipline preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of laboratory experience in analytical chemistry, environmental testing, metals analysis, battery recycling, manufacturing, or related industry.
- Previous team leadership experience preferred.
- Experience developing and maintaining SOPs and laboratory quality systems.
- Demonstrated experience training and cross‑training personnel.
- Strong understanding of GLP, laboratory safety practices, and quality management systems.
- Experience troubleshooting, calibrating, validating, and maintaining analytical laboratory instruments.
- Coordinates inventory and equipment.
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and environmental compliance preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint) and laboratory data management systems.
- Ability to work independently while effectively leading a team.
