We are seeking a Business Development Specialist to help grow our client base through prospecting, outreach, relationship development, and new business generation. Pay is negotiable based on applicable skills and experience.

The Business Development Specialist is responsible for generating new business opportunities and supporting client growth for ACS. This role uses Zendesk Sell to manage prospects, nurture leads, create outreach campaigns, conduct cold calls, present ACS services to potential clients, and help convert opportunities into signed business. This position is also responsible for assisting with the preparation, coordination, and submission of RFPs and other proposal opportunities.
The ideal candidate is organized, self‑motivated, comfortable with outbound outreach, and able to communicate the value of ACS services in a professional and persuasive manner.
This position plays an important role in expanding ACS’s market presence, strengthening referral relationships, pursuing formal bid opportunities, and supporting long‑term revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities- Use Zendesk Sell to manage prospect activity, pipeline updates, and follow‑up tasks.
- Build and nurture relationships with prospective clients and referral sources.
- Create and manage outbound outreach campaigns.
- Conduct cold calls and other business development outreach to identify new opportunities.
- Present ACS services professionally to prospective clients.
- Follow up consistently on leads, referrals, and sales opportunities.
- Help develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects.
- Assist with preparing, organizing, and submitting RFPs, proposals, and related business development materials.
- Coordinate internally to gather information needed for proposals, service presentations, and contract opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of activity, communications, proposal deadlines, and opportunities within the CRM.
- Support contract and new‑client onboarding coordination with leadership as needed.
- Represent ACS professionally in all business development interactions.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have a valid work visa.
- Must be of legal working age.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Confidence with cold calling and outbound outreach.
- Organization and follow‑through.
- Ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline.
- Basic to intermediate computer applications.
- CRM proficiency or ability to learn quickly.
- Strong written communication and document preparation skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines, proposal requirements, and multiple priorities.

SalaryNegotiable based on skills and experience.

Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (Required).
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
- Sales, business development, or client acquisition: 1 year (Preferred).
- CRM software such as Zendesk Sell: 1 year (Preferred).
- Cold calling or outbound prospecting: 1 year (Preferred).
- Proposal, RFP, or business writing experience: 1 year (Preferred).
- Customer service or professional communication: 1 year (Preferred).
