Pay Rate: $23.31-$38.39 hourly

Job Description:

The Police Officer is responsible for protection and safety of all center staff, patients and visitors.

* Patrols all areas of the FMC main campus, off-site locations in and outside of the city.

* Ability to use, maintain, carry, and shoot firearms including: pistols, shotguns, rifles, and automatic weapons to the department standards.

* Responds to radio dispatched, citizen reported or directly observed calls for police action.

* Conduct preliminary investigations of crimes, accidents, and suspicious or dangerous incidents.

* Responds to the scenes of accidents, emergencies and disasters and remove people from dangerous situations.

* Makes arrests and takes persons into custody.

* Inspect, maintain and drive motor vehicles.

* Appear and testify at trials and hearings.

* Complete forms, records and compose reports.
