Facilities Maintenance and Grounds Technician

The Facilities Maintenance and Grounds Technician is responsible for supporting the upkeep, safety, and functionality of Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) properties across Central and Southeast Ohio. This role performs routine building maintenance, safety inspections, landscaping, and general repairs while maintaining accurate service documentation.
Pay Range$19.96 to $23.39/hr based on experience
Essential Functions- Performs routine checks and maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structural, and safety systems within ISBH properties
- Coordinates with external contractors for specialized services (elevators, security systems, pest control) and evaluates services rendered
- Adheres to all OSEA policies and requirements
- Assists with installation, setup, and modification of office and clinic equipment
- Maintains accurate maintenance logs, service records, and documentation for each ISBH property
- Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment issues
- Performs general internal property repairs, including interior and exterior painting, drywall, lighting, and hardware, to ensure facility functionality
- Performs safety inspections to ensure each property is safe and conforms to all state and local protocols
- Performs basic building modifications to conform to the changes and needs of ISBH offices and or buildings
- Operates maintenance tools to clean and/or repair objects and/or services
- Maintains the interior and exterior aesthetic of ISBH properties
- Performs general landscaping and groundskeeping of ISBH properties
- Manage maintenance supplies, including tools and power equipment
- Responds promptly to emergency repair needs
- Travel within the designated service area
- Performs other duties as assigned
- A high school degree or GED equivalent is required
- A trade school certificate or an associate's degree in a related field is preferred
- 3-4 years of facilities maintenance, corporate environments, residential settings or related environment is required
- Knowledge of property maintenance, landscaping, and gardening is required
- Basic understanding of electrical wiring, mechanical systems, and general facilities maintenance practices is required
- The ability to operate small tractors, lawn equipment, small heavy equipment, and power tools is required
- Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills are preferred
- Skills in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems are preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are required
- A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle are required
- An appropriate level of auto insurance coverage is required
- Ability to carry/push/pull up to 70lbs
- Ability to lift heavy equipment, use power tools, and perform manual work
- Ability to climb stairs/ladder
- Ability to bend, twist, hinge, squat/kneel, and reach above the shoulder
