We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. As part of this long-term contract role, you will manage critical financial transactions and contribute to the smooth operation of payment processes. This position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in accounts payable and a commitment to accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Process and review invoices to ensure proper account coding and compliance with company policies.
- Execute payment processing through various methods, including Automated Clearing House (ACH) transfers and check runs.
- Perform account reconciliations to maintain accuracy and integrity in financial records.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in invoices or payments promptly.
- Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to address and resolve payment-related issues.
- Maintain organized and precise records of all account's payable transactions.
- Generate reports detailing payment activities and financial reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing necessary documentation.
- Evaluate and enhance accounts payable workflows to improve efficiency.
- Ensure all payment processes adhere to company standards and relevant regulations.

Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable operations with a strong understanding of payment processing.
- Proficiency in account coding and invoice management.
- Familiarity with ACH transfers and check processing workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliations with attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Excellent organizational skills for maintaining accurate financial records.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with vendors and internal teams.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance related to payment processes.
