Accounts Payable Specialist

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. In this long-term contract role, you will be responsible for overseeing payment processes, ensuring accurate financial transactions, and maintaining compliance with company policies. Responsibilities:

- Process invoices with precision, ensuring proper account coding and adherence to organizational policies.

- Manage payment methods, including Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check runs.

- Perform account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data.

- Investigate and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies in a timely manner.

- Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to address payment-related inquiries.

- Maintain organized and detailed records of all account's payable transactions.

- Generate reports to provide insights into payment activities and reconciliation outcomes.

- Support month-end and year-end financial closing procedures by preparing relevant documentation.

- Identify opportunities to streamline accounts payable workflows for improved efficiency.

- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company standards throughout the payment process.

Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable operations, including invoice processing and payment handling.

- Proficiency in account coding and reconciliation practices.

- Familiarity with payment methods such as ACH transactions and check runs.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies effectively.

- Excellent organizational skills for maintaining accurate financial records.

- Ability to communicate professionally with vendors and internal teams.

- Knowledge of relevant accounting regulations and company policies.

- Experience in supporting financial closing processes.
