Summary:
The Accounting Assistant is responsible for completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. This is a temp position with the possibility of turning into part-time or full-time based on business needs.
Essential Functions:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Reconcile invoices to purchase orders and receive paperwork for accuracy.
- Enter all A/P invoices within three business days of receipt.
- Make recommendations for timely payment of invoices to vendors.
- Manage reconciliation and timely payment of intercompany transactions.
- Reconcile daily cash receipts from the bank, posting them to Net Suite, and entry to NPSC patient accounting system.
- Assists in monthly closings.
- Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
- Performs various administrative duties, such as filing and copying.
- Reconcile monthly vendor statements against vendor invoices entered into Net Suite.
- Assists with quarterly physical counts by data entering final numbers provided on master count sheets by Material Manager.
- Maintains supporting documentation in Net Suite and company drives.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma required.
- At least one (1) year of experience in bookkeeping/ accounts payable is required.
- Three (3) or more years of experience in bookkeeping and/or accounts payable is preferred.
- An Associate's Degree or equivalent business certification is preferred.
- Experience working with an accounting system such as Net Suite or Quick Books is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is preferred.
