Job Description & How to Apply Below

Are you looking to gain experience? Or are you wanting to keep skills fresh, after a recent retirement? Either scenario:
We want you on our team!

While our nurses and doctors are in the field, our office team ensures that every patient receives the care they deserve. We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Administrative Volunteer to join our team and help us stay organized, compliant, and ready to serve.

If you are organized, comfortable with computers, and want to support a compassionate cause without being at the bedside, this is the perfect role for you.

What You’ll Do
  • Data & Documentation: Assist with filing, data entry, and organizing patient records.
  • Communication: Help with mailings, preparing information packets for new families, and occasional phone outreach.
  • Office Support: Assist our clinical and volunteer coordinators with special projects and general office tasks.
  • Make an Impact: By handling the "paperwork," you free up our medical staff to focus 100% on patient comfort.
Flexible Scheduling Options

We know your time is valuable. We are looking for a consistent commitment and can offer several schedule tracks:

  • The Full Day: One 5-hour shift per week.
  • The Split: Two 3-hour shifts per week.
  • The Alternate: Every other week (10:00 AM – 1:00 PM, or similar).
  • Shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday during standard business hours.
Requirements

As a Hospice Volunteer, you are a core part of our mission. To join us, you will need to:

  • Complete our standard Hospice Volunteer onboarding and orientation.
  • Pass a background check and health screening (provided by us).
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and respect for patient privacy (HIPAA).
  • Be comfortable using basic office software (Word, Excel, Email).

“You don’t have to be at the bedside to touch a life.” Your organization skills ensure that no patient or family is ever left waiting.
