Public Health has four Teams. This post will be the named Business Support Officer for the Prevention and Inclusion team but will work across all the teams to support other Business Support colleagues and provide cover for holidays and sickness.

You will have responsibility for a range of office functions which includes providing financial and management support for a range of activities both within the Council and with external partners.

What will you be doing?

What will you be doing

  • Providing office support which will include effective administrative support that includes managing communications internally and externally, managing and developing different forms of information, communication and contribute to the development of the Service and the promotion of initiatives.
  • Ensuring that all the Councils standards and regulatory guidelines are met
  • Assisting with monitoring and/or management of budgets in accordance with County Council financial processes, systems, and instructions
  • Playing a key role in the planning and execution of meetings and events, ensuring all records are comprehensive and accurate.
  • Having an active role in the supervision and development of others as appropriate.

About you

You will be:

  • Educated to A level, NVQ3 or equivalent standard (e.g. GNVQ, Certificate in Management, BTech)(essential)
  • IT Qualified to CLAIT/IBT2/RSA/ECDL(essential)
  • NVQ Level 3 in Administration or Management(desirable)
  • NVQ Assessor(desirable)
  • Have extensive experience in office administration including the use of IT systems along with knowledge of data protection and equal opportunities
  • Able to work independently to prioritise workload and with minimal supervision
  • Have good interpersonal skills - able to communicate in a friendly, open and constructive manner
