Entry-Level Estimator

Position Summary:

The Construction Project Coordinator/Estimator assists in preparing cost estimates for projects by reviewing plans, gathering pricing, and supporting the bidding process. This role works closely with project managers, sales, and field teams to help ensure accurate, competitive, and timely estimates. This is an excellent opportunity to build a career in estimating within the construction/HVAC/plumbing industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specs, and bid documents

• Assist with takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment

• Gather pricing from vendors and suppliers

• Help prepare and organize cost estimates and proposals

• Track bid deadlines and project requirements

• Maintain estimate files and documentation

• Support the estimating and project management teams

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (construction, business, or technical coursework a plus)

• Strong math, organization, and attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines

• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, email)

• Willingness to learn estimating software and processes

• Team-oriented with good communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Internship or experience in construction, HVAC, or plumbing

• Familiarity with blueprints or takeoff software

• Strong problem-solving skills
