FIELD SUPERINTENDENT (TRAVELLING) | HEAVY INDUSTRIAL / STEEL ERECTION Fast-Growing $100M+ Contractor
We’re partnering with a rapidly growing heavy industrial construction and steel fabrication contractor to hire experienced Field Superintendents for major projects across the USA.
With approximately 300 employees, extensive in-house fabrication capabilities and continued national growth, the business is looking for proven field leaders who can run a jobsite, lead crews and keep projects safe, productive and on schedule.
Projects span:- Heavy industrial construction
- Steel mills
You’ll take ownership of day-to-day field operations on complex industrial projects.
That means:
- Leading crews and subcontractors
- Driving site safety and daily safety briefings
- Managing sequencing and look-ahead schedules
- Coordinating fabrication, rigging and project teams
- Identifying productivity issues before they impact the job
- Tracking progress against schedule, budget and quality
- Developing foremen and future field leaders
- Managing client and inspector relationships
This isn’t a role for someone who manages purely from the trailer.
We’re looking for strong field leadership — someone organised, proactive and respected by both management and the crews doing the work.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FORYou’ll ideally have experience within:
- Heavy industrial construction
- Manufacturing facilities
- Heavy rigging
- Similar complex industrial environments
You’ll be comfortable holding people accountable, planning ahead and driving productivity without simply throwing more hours at the job.
THE PACKAGE- $160/day per diem – paid 7 days a week
- Flights home covered where appropriate
- PTO – typically 2 weeks, negotiable for experienced hires
- Typical schedule is approximately 55–60 hours per week, with nationwide travel and generally a three-day weekend home each month
