Join the Monroe County Area Agency on Aging as a Fiscal Technician and help support financial operations that keep essential services running smoothly. This role gives you the chance to work with detailed records, support agency staff, and contribute to programs that help older adults. This position supports the agency by managing financial records, processing payments, and assisting with bookkeeping tasks. The role also helps maintain accurate documents and provides administrative support for daily operations. As a Fiscal Technician, you will perform the following duties:

  • Invoice Processing: Encode invoices with correct line-item numbers and prepare control vouchers for payment
  • Record Maintenance: Reconcile monthly and yearly financial data and organize required documents
  • Service Billing: Process cost share billings and prepare invoices for consumers
  • Purchase Support: Prepare purchase order forms and verify supplies delivered to the agency
  • Program Reporting: Input service delivery information into SAMS and run reports to confirm accuracy
  • Cash Handling: Verify petty cash amounts, replenish funds, and prepare bank deposits as needed
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year as a Fiscal Assistant;
    or
  • Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school;
    or
  • One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration;
    or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
