Dental Data Entry Representative

The Dental Data Entry Representative is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining patient and insurance information within the practice management system. This role plays a critical part in ensuring data integrity, supporting billing processes, and facilitating efficient patient care operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage high volumes of information with accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter and update patient demographic, insurance, and treatment information into the dental practice management system
  • Verify accuracy of data entered and correct any discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies
  • Assist with insurance verification and ensure all required documentation is properly recorded
  • Collaborate with front desk, billing, and clinical teams to ensure accurate and complete patient records
  • Process and scan documents into electronic health records (EHR)
  • Support billing department with data entry related to claims, payments, and adjustments
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient and company information
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
  • Previous experience in a dental, medical, or healthcare administrative role preferred
  • Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic knowledge of dental terminology and insurance processes preferred
