The Architectural Designer is responsible for drawing production within the firm's established drawing standards under the direction of the Project Architect. This includes application of a high degree of design and technical skills, an understanding of building code compliance, building constructability.
Responsibilities:
- Assimilate written project basis of design direction, detailed drawings, and verbal/written instructions to perform assigned tasks.
- Responsible for drawing production utilizing Revit.
- Coordinate with the design team including outside design firms, and inside resources.
- Prepare scale drawings and contract documents for bidding to general contractors, while ensuring standards are met.
- Responsible for performing assigned tasks in a timely manner, within the budgeted hours, as assigned by the Project Architect.
- Assist the Project Architect with assessing project submittals and shop drawings for compliance with the construction documents.
- Provide input on code research.
- Experience with Accessibility Standards and implementing the requirements within the project documents.
Experience, Skills, Training, AND/OR
Education Required:
- 5+ years of experience within an architectural firm.
- Both resume and portfolio should be submitted for consideration.
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture preferred, or a recognized Branch of Architectural Engineering under a curriculum accredited by the NAAB and NCARB. OR a two year-degree from a technical college is acceptable with 12 years of work experience within an architectural firm.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Proven abilities in Revit required.
- Skills in creating 3-D renderings a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with inside and outside teams.
- History of active follow up and excellent time management.

Preferred:
- Bachelors or better in Architectural or related field.
