Position Summary InformationThe department of Earth Sciences is accepting applications for a Temporary, part‑time instructor responsible for teaching online in both 7 week and 15 week course terms for the Masters of Science in Emergency Management program.
The selected candidate will teach graduate courses in the MS Emergency Management degree program. The MS Emergency Management degree is designed to produce exemplary industry professionals with cross-disciplinary skills. Topics taught within the curriculum include professional writing, risk communication, emergency management planning, business continuity, GIS applications, social dimensions of disaster, mental health and trauma, as well as terrorism and homeland security.
In addition to teaching, there is an expectation for scholarship and service commensurate with the assignment.
The purpose of this posting is to generate a pool of qualified faculty. Applications submitted will be reviewed on an as needed basis based on enrollment. Anyone meeting the qualifications may be contacted for an interview and potentially hired when a need exists.
