Temporary, Part-Time Interactive and Graphic Design Instructor - (Unsolicited)

Temporary, part-time instructor responsible for teaching a variety of topics in Interactive & Graphic Design. In addition, the instructor will write and organize curriculum, prepare lectures and demonstrations, lead discussions, evaluate student performance, grade projects, and submit final grades through MAX.

The purpose of this posting is to generate a pool of qualified faculty. Applications submitted will be reviewed on an as needed basis based on enrollment. Anyone meeting the qualifications may be contacted for an interview and potentially hired when a need exists. In the event that you are interviewed but not immediately hired, your application will remain in the departments pool of qualified faculty.

Duties and Responsibilities

Required Qualifications - MFA in Graphic Design or equivalent experience. Expertise in Adobe software. Evidence of ability to successfully teach diverse student populations. Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication skills. Commitment to inclusive practices and working with diverse student populations. Successful interview. Successful teaching demonstration. Successful completion of three background checks.

Preferred Qualifications - MFA in Graphic Design or related discipline. Prior college-level teaching experience. Prior experience in the design industry.
