1st Semester After School Library Supervisor

The After School Library Supervisor ensures that students have a dedicated, inclusive environment for study and academic exploration. The role offers students a multitude of activities, opportunities to socialize, and the chance to make lasting friendships.

Qualifications
  • Experience: Working with school‑age students and establishing an academic environment of collaboration and inclusivity.
  • Skills: Strong managerial, organizational, and communication skills; ability to work with students of varying abilities; familiarity with Schoology and web‑based tools.
  • Education: Valid PA teaching certificate.
Essential Functions
  • Supervise and maintain a structured, safe, and productive library environment during after‑school hours, ensuring student behavior aligns with school expectations and supports a quiet academic setting.
  • Assist students in accessing academic resources, including locating books, utilizing library databases, and supporting general research needs appropriate for grades 9–12.
  • Provide basic technology support by assisting students with computers, printers, and other library equipment, and troubleshooting minor issues to ensure continued student access to resources.
  • Execute daily closing procedures, including organizing library materials, ensuring all students have exited the space, shutting down equipment as appropriate, and securing the library in accordance with school protocols.
  • Have read and understand obligations as outlined in MNSD School Board Policies.
  • Other duties as assigned by Administration.
Additional Information

Frequency of meetings: September – January (Sem
1); daily for one hour after school.

Approximate number of students enrolled: Approximately 50 students maximum.

Clearances: In accordance with the school code, Act 24 and all related clearances.
