The Annenberg Science Coordinator fosters a dedicated, inclusive academic environment that promotes student discourse and engagement in science and medicine, preparing participants for the Annenberg Science Symposium

Qualifications:
- Experience:
Experience working with school-age students in the areas of science and medicine while establishing an academic environment of collaboration and inclusivity. - Skills:
Strong managerial, organizational, and communication skills; ability to work with students of varying abilities; familiarity with Schoology and web-based tools - Education:
Valid PA teaching certificate.
Essential Functions:
- Design and lead implementation of the Annenberg Science Symposium program, including organizing the fall kickoff, coordinating student participation, managing timelines, and ensuring successful completion of research and final presentations.
- Guide and support students in the development of scientific research and presentations and assisting students in integrating creative arts components to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with external organizations, including Main Line Health professionals and other participating schools, to enhance student access to real-world scientific experiences and ensure alignment with program expectations.
- Coordinate all logistical and communication components of the program, including student selection (if applicable), meeting schedules, transportation (if needed), and communication with students, staff, families, and program partners.
- Monitor student progress and program effectiveness, ensuring adherence to deadlines, high-quality student participation, and successful representation at the final symposium event.
- Has read and understands obligations as outlined in MNSD School Board Policies.
- Other duties as assigned by Administration.
Frequency of meetings:
September – June; after school, throughout the school year

Approximately 40 students
Clearances:
In accordance with the school code, Act 24 and All related clearances.
