POSITION: PARAPROFESSIONAL I – (4.5 hrs/day)

LOCATION: DISTRICT WIDE

COMPENSATION: PER ESPA AGREEMENT - $22.37/hour after 90-day probation

The Rose Tree Media School District is seeking caring, dependable, and student-centered individual to serve as a Paraprofessional I for the  school year. QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree, college coursework, or relevant experience working with children preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with students of varying abilities, and learning needs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
• Ability to follow instructional and behavioral plans under the direction of professional staff.
• Demonstrated patience, flexibility, and a commitment to supporting student growth and independence.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in working with students and families.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to utilize district technology systems as required.
• Experience working in educational, childcare, recreational, or related settings preferred.

Duties may include assisting students with mobility, personal care, and daily living activities, as assigned. The ability to lift, carry, or assist students and materials consistent with assigned responsibilities may be required. Work is performed primarily in an indoor school setting.
