Electrical Engineer
Lancaster, Pennsylvania Full Time
100% Onsite As an Electrical Engineer, you will support plant operations by providing engineering expertise to improve safety, reliability, and productivity across the Lancaster Mill. You will assist in project execution, troubleshoot electrical and control systems, and support production, maintenance, and technical departments in achieving plant performance goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide electrical engineering services to support production, maintenance, and administration teams in meeting plant goals.
- Lead and manage all phases of assigned capital or reliability projects from: conceptual design, scope and specification development, bid preparation and evaluation, installation, startup, and project close-out.
- Address and resolve technical issues related to electrical systems, automation, and controls.
- Ensure that all projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and meet performance targets.
- Support continuous improvement and troubleshooting efforts across all plant operations.
- Maintain compliance with electrical safety standards, site procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with vendors and contractors during project implementation.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 1 year of experience in electrical engineering OR two completed engineering internships (hands-on experience in manufacturing or process industry preferred)
- 3+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer
- 1+ year of experience in a heavy manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience with capital project management, vendor coordination, and installation/startup processes
- Familiarity with PLC systems, power distribution, instrumentation, or motor control systems
Competencies:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication skills (written & verbal)
- Working knowledge of electrical safety codes (NEC, NFPA 70E) and manufacturing safety standards
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and engineering software
