Structural Engineering Specialist

STV has an immediate opening for a Structural Engineering Specialist (Buildings) to join our growing team in either our Philadelphia or Douglassville, PA office as part of the Buildings Division. This is a great opportunity for an individual to work on exciting projects as part of a team of dedicated engineers. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of challenging projects, which will include tasks such as the design of a variety of new structures including buildings, retaining walls, and other miscellaneous structures;

analysis of existing structures; review and/or production of construction submittals; and review of contract plans for conformance with established design criteria.

• Preparing design calculations for buildings and other structures.
• Developing structural and other drawings through Revit and AutoCAD software packages for buildings and other structures.
• Producing design related reports and reviewing shop drawings and other construction submittals.

• Minimum of 0-5 years of experience in structural engineer design.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; additionally a Master’s Degree is preferred.
• Successful completion of the FE exam (EIT certification).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Revit, AutoCAD, and familiarity with structural analysis software packages.
• Strong skills in structural analysis, steel and concrete design, good time management skills, a willingness to learn and the ability to work in a team environment.
