Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
Process Improvement & Manufacturing Support
- Partner with production and maintenance teams to achieve safety, quality, and productivity objectives.
- Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, throughput, and reliability.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions to reduce recurring operational issues.
- Utilize data analysis and continuous improvement methodologies to minimize process variation and increase performance.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for process and equipment-related challenges.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams and technical experts to implement best practices and process enhancements.
- Manage process and equipment improvement projects from initial concept through startup and commissioning.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, timelines, and projected return-on-investment analyses.
- Coordinate engineering, design, procurement, installation, and startup activities.
- Lead cross-functional project teams while minimizing impact on production schedules.
- Support outage planning and coordinate resources required for project execution.
- Monitor project spending, schedules, and deliverables to ensure successful completion.
- Strategic Planning & Operational Development
- Support long-term capital planning by identifying improvement opportunities and developing business cases.
- Prepare project justifications, cost estimates, vendor evaluations, and supporting documentation.
- Work with vendors, contractors, and procurement teams to secure equipment and services.
- Ensure contractor work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 2-12+ years of engineering experience within manufacturing, industrial, or process-driven environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.
- Experience working directly with production and maintenance teams in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies, process management systems, and root cause analysis tools.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and business objectives.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of an organization.
- Flexibility to support project activities and plant operations as needed outside normal business hours.
- Direct ownership of operational improvement and capital projects.
- High visibility within a growing manufacturing operation.
