DescriptionJob Summary:
The Internal Event Technology Coordinator facilitates internal event technology services, systems, and personnel; fills production roles at college events with staff, student workers, and freelancers as necessary; attends and leads internal production meetings to assess event technology needs; and assists in training, coaching, and mentoring students.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Lead with integrity, building trust and positive working relationships within event tech services and among colleagues in other departments.
- Manage internal event tech needs with oversight from the Event Tech Manager.
- Attend production meetings for internal events.
- Schedule event tech staff and student workers as needed.
- Manage an on-call schedule to support student workers.
- Train and develop event tech personnel for internal events.
- Assist Event Technology Manager with system maintenance, installs, upgrades, and repairs.
- Maintain a safe working environment based on industry standards.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods of being on your feet.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

Education and Experience:
- Associate's Degree in a related field preferred.
- At least four years related experience preferred.

- Proficient with production-related software:
Pro Presenter, DAWs, Smaart. - Experience/Familiarity with Audio:
- Networked Audio Protocols: AES, Madi, Dante
- Consoles:
Digico, Yamaha, Midas - Processor: BSS
- Experience/Familiarity with Lighting:
- Lighting Protocols: DMX
- Consoles: ETC
- Experience/Familiarity with Video:
- Video Protocols: genlock, SMPTE
- Consoles:
Ross, Blackmagic Design - Projection:
Barco - Preferred experience in stage design and rigging
- Preferred certifications:
- OSHA 30
- OSHA Aerial Lift Qualification
- Dante Certification – Levels 1 and 2
- ESA Certification 2020
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the Events Technology manager, facilitates internal event technology operations with advisement from Event Technology Manager.
- Staff internal events with student workers, professionals, and/or freelancers to ensure all tech positions needed are fulfilled.
- Coordinate with vendors, such as Stray on an as-needed basis to ensure internal events are equipped with what they need.
- Help determine necessary purchases/upgrades to the AVL system to best meet the needs of internal events, the student body, and the college and forward that information to the events tech manager.
- Assist in directing student workers before, during, and after internal events. Provide feedback to them in meaningful and measurable ways that help develop the students professionally and spiritually.
- Ensure standard procedures and/or best practices for student workers are followed during internal events.
- Coordinate and update a master calendar that combines the planning center calendar with the student workers' academic/personal calendar.
- Attend and/or schedule meetings with internal event stakeholders to ensure tech needs are accurate for internal events.
