Position: VP Finance and Administration (m,w,d)

For over 60 years, Powder Metal Goldschmidt (PMG) has been a leading supplier in powder metallurgy. With around 1,700 employees in seven plants in Asia, Europe and the US, PMG develops and produces customized solutions for a wide range of applications in various industries.

At our global development centers in Asia, Europe and the United States, we develop solutions for all products that are suitable for the PM process. In line with our "One Global Factory" concept, we offer our customers worldwide full-service packages ranging from product and co-development, testing, validation and series production to assembly and warehouse management.

We are looking for a business driven leadership personality with a strong suite in Finance and Controlling and Manufacturing background for the Pennsyvania (USA) plant. The role reports to the Plant Manager and a dotted line to the Group CFO in Germany.

Responsibilities
1. Finance, Governance & Transparency
  • Responsible for monthly closings, accurate accounting
  • Perform yearly audits together with auditors
  • Establish clear financial governance and reporting standards
  • Yearly tax preparation, 401k audits
  • Ensure data consistency across systems and processes
  • Act as a bridge between finance, operations, HR and management
2. End-to-End Commercial Steering
  • Full ownership of financial performance of the plant (P&L, cash flow, working capital)
  • Act as co-pilot to Operations, ensuring business decisions are economically sound
  • Translate operational performance into financial transparency and actionable insights
3. Costing & Quotation (Front-End Control)
  • Lead and validate product costing and quotation processes as sparrings with Sales
  • Define target pricing and margin thresholds
  • Identify and challenge commercial risks in RFQs and contracts
4. Production & Value Chain Controlling
  • Implement transparent cost tracking along the full value stream
  • Monitor and challenge Operational KPI:
  • quality costs
  • inventory levels and working capital
  • Drive variance analysis between plan, standard cost, and actuals
5. Operational Controlling in Series Production
  • Set up and manage robust KPI system for daily/weekly performance tracking
  • Ensure fact-based decision-making on the shopfloor
  • Identify cost drivers and inefficiencies and initiate corrective actions
  • Support stabilization and turnaround initiatives
6. Business Planning & Forecasting
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning
  • Build reliable production and financial plans
  • Support strategic decisions (e.g., product transfers, investments, pricing)
Requirements and

Experience:
  • 8–15+ years in controlling / finance roles in manufacturing environments (preferably automotive or industrial)
  • Proven track record in plant controlling or commercial leadership roles
  • Strong experience in costing, value stream analysis, and operational finance
  • Experience in turnaround / restructuring situations is a strong plus
  • Fluent in languages English and German
