Licensed Psychologist Manager, Corrections

This position manages psychological services programs and oversees clinical work performed by staff at SCI Somerset. As a Licensed Psychologist Manager, Corrections, you will perform the following duties:

• Staff Supervision:
  Direct psychological staff by overseeing evaluations, screenings, counseling, and crisis intervention
• Program Management:
  Develop and integrate policies and procedures that guide psychological services and counseling programs
• Committee Leadership:
  Lead review teams responsible for mental health assessments and critical incident evaluations
• Clinical Review:
  Evaluate diagnostic tests and prepare or review detailed reports on inmate mental health status
• Consultation Support:
  Advise staff on treatment approaches and participate in meetings to review inmate adjustment and care plans
• Accreditation Oversight:
  Ensure compliance with standards and provide expert testimony when required

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
• This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.

• One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or Psychologist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) ; or
• One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, intellectual disabilities or behavioral dysfunction.

• You must be in possession of a valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or possession of a valid license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board. Applicants with out-of-state licensure must obtain Pennsylvania licensure within one year of employment.
