Security & Systems Specialist

JFC Global is hiring a dedicated Security & Systems Specialist, Level I, on a permanent, hybrid basis up to 80k, who is eager to grow in a fast-paced IT environment. Ideal candidates will possess a strong attention to detail, reliably support system operations, and escalate issues appropriately. You'll be part of a proactive team overseeing the daily health and security of client systems, with responsibilities that provide variety and growth in a dynamic environment.

Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
• 2-4 years of relevant IT experience, preferably within a Managed Service Provider setting
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, endpoint management, and security fundamentals
• Experience with monitoring tools, backups, or security solutions is advantageous
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to escalate issues when necessary and work effectively within a team

Main duties:

• Respond promptly to security alerts, escalating issues to senior team members when needed
• Assist with the deployment, maintenance, and oversight of endpoint security applications like EDR/MDR, antivirus, and privileged access management tools
• Support onboarding and training for security awareness platforms for new clients
• Handle basic recovery tasks, such as restoring files from backups and investigating backup failures
• Make low-level firewall configuration adjustments, including VPN access and web filtering rules
• Record actions, findings, and incidents accurately within partner systems, escalating complex issues as appropriate
• Conduct periodic system audits to ensure consistency and compliance across client environments
• Keep current on industry best practices through ongoing training
