McKnight International is seeking a part-time Business Data Analyst – Power BI to support our Business Intelligence team in the Greater Philadelphia Area. This role is ideal for an experienced Power BI professional who enjoys developing dashboards, analyzing data, and collaborating with project teams while working in a flexible part-time capacity.

This position will support McKnight International's leadership team by developing business intelligence solutions, Power BI dashboards, reporting tools, and data models that improve visibility into project and operational performance. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with our Lead Business Data Analysts and project teams to deliver accurate, actionable insights across multiple initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.
• Build and optimize data models, relationships, measures, and calculated columns using DAX.
• Aggregate, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources to support business decision-making.
• Perform data extraction, cleansing, validation, and quality assurance to ensure data accuracy.
• Translate business requirements into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
• Develop and enhance automated dashboards and reporting tools to support business intelligence initiatives.
• Analyze trends, performance metrics, and operational data to identify actionable opportunities.
• Collaborate with project teams and business stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting requirements.
• Present analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Assist with data integration, reporting processes, and ongoing business intelligence initiatives.
• Maintain documentation for dashboards, data sources, reporting logic, and analytics processes.
• Support forecasting, performance reporting, and continuous process improvement efforts as needed.

Requirements

Experience & Skills

• 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Business Data Analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power BI.
• Strong experience with DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
• Strong SQL experience for querying and transforming data.
• Experience working with large, complex, multi-source datasets.
• Excellent understanding of data visualization best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical reporting solutions.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams and client stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a client-facing consulting environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting aviation, transportation, infrastructure, engineering, construction, or capital improvement programs.
• Experience working within a consulting or professional services environment.
• Familiarity with enterprise reporting environments, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, SharePoint, SQL Server, or similar Microsoft technologies.
• Experience developing executive dashboards and KPI reporting.
