Information Technology Business Analyst

Job Title: IT Business Analyst

Location: Fort Washington, PA – Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)

Contract: 6+ Months Contract-to-Perm

We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams. The Business Analyst will translate business needs into effective technology solutions, define system requirements, support application enhancements, and help improve business processes.

The ideal candidate will have strong Business Analysis, requirements gathering, SDLC, Agile, process mapping, and stakeholder management experience, along with hands-on JD Edwards Enterprise One (JDE) experience

• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams.
• Analyze business and system issues and recommend effective solution options.
• Gather, document, and manage functional, technical, reporting, and security requirements.
• Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions with various business groups.
• Analyze current-state and future-state business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Translate business requirements into detailed system specifications.
• Create business requirements documents, functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, meeting notes, decision logs, risk logs, and status reports.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and requirements refinement.
• Create and manage Epics, Features, and User Stories

• Work closely with developers during solution design, development, and testing.
• Partner with QA teams to support test planning and execution.
• Perform or support unit and user acceptance testing for new functionality.
• Identify, track, and communicate project risks, issues, constraints, and key decisions.
• Support software implementations, system enhancements, and project initiatives.
• Manage project-related tasks and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Support or lead small projects as needed.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, developers, QA, technical teams, and business stakeholders throughout the SDLC.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

• 3+ years of Business Analyst experience
  .
• 3+ years of experience working with IT systems and SDLC methodologies
  .
• Strong experience with requirements gathering and business process mapping
  .
• Must have JD Edwards Enterprise One (JDE) experience.
• Experience translating business requirements into system specifications.
• Experience working in an Agile environment
  .
• Knowledge of Epics, Features, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria
  .
• Experience working with project teams from initiation through completion.
• Strong business process analysis and mapping skills.
• Experience with Visio and/or Lucidchart
  .
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and changing project requirements.
• Strong stakeholder collaboration and influencing skills.

• PMI-PBA
• CBAP
• CAPM
• CSM or Agile-related certification
• Experience in the building/construction industry
  .
• Experience supporting enterprise applications, reporting, and system enhancements.

Preferred: Local candidates in Pennsylvania who can work 3 days onsite and 2 days remotely
