PrimaryDuties
- Develop strategic initiatives that monitor and improve supplier performance by creating and executing corrective action and continuous improvement plans.
- Keep Asia Contributors aware and involved in sourcing strategies and leverage them when necessary.
- Challenge suppliers on costing when appropriate.
- Manage stocking programs, optimization and recommendations.
- Make procurement decisions that include ROI considerations and challenge decisions where appropriate.
- Work with planning to recommend hedge buy/safety stock updates, MRP controller changes based on supplier knowledge.
- Identify and develop sourcing plans for key commodities and/or products using strategic thinking and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Identify and deliver cost‑reduction commitments through development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Evaluate and select suppliers to support new product development and cost‑saving initiatives based on total cost and performance analysis.
- Negotiate with suppliers to provide the best pricing, serviceability and quality, leveraging tools such as commodity trends and market conditions.
- Support development and deployment of a Supplier Relationship Management program to manage all interactions with suppliers and ensure alignment with company and product strategies.
- Must be detail‑oriented, highly organized, resourceful, and work well within a team environment. Ability to initiate, communicate and take action to resolve issues internally and externally.
- Ability to manage and analyze large volumes of data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP environments.
- Ability to integrate with the cultural environment of the global supply base and Dorman international offices.
- Ability to network within a cross‑functional environment.
- Must adhere to and maintain ethical business standards and make unbiased business decisions.
- Experience with manufacturing processes, SAP, Business Objects, and Automotive/Electronics background preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen. Noise level is usually moderate.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a concentration in Management, Supply Chain, Operations, or Business.
- 3‑5 years’ experience as a business professional or military officer.
The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $83,600 to $124,300. This role is also eligible for a bonus. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.
