Job Shift M-Fri 3:00pm to 11:30pm

Description

Team Lead positively leads and motivates a team of associates in daily work duties. The Team Lead is responsible for leading, coordinating, and managing a team of associates in a positive manner. This includes overseeing day-to-day activities, providing mentorship, ensuring team productivity, and driving the success of projects.

Specialty Packaging Team Lead will oversee the operation and efficiency of the Specialty Packing department, including ensuring kits, collations and projects are produced according to client specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assigns tasks to Specialty Packaging (Spec Pack) team members to optimize productivity.
  • Monitors the productivity of Spec Pack team members, sharing numbers daily and coaching underperformers.
  • Audits the quality of work performed by team members and gives feedback, as necessary.
  • Communicates effectively with internal teams, for specific issues impacting clients. Issues may include deviations from normal system behaviors and patterns.
    • Work with inventory teams to maintain accurate inventory levels.
    • Works with the Client Services Department to reduce customer nonconformance.
  • Maintains high standards for professional conduct.
  • Onboarding and training associates on specific project processes.
  • Listening to feedback and resolving issues from the team, escalating, as necessary.
  • Promoting a safe and motivating workplace and atmosphere.
  • Monitors the performance of the group and individuals ensure that established goals are met.
  • Notifies the Supervisor of any problems they are unable to handle including, but not limited to, out-of-stock items, performance issues, etc.
  • Provides training for job specific tasks. May also perform any job, in the area of responsibility such as project work, kitting and collations as necessary.
  • Acts as a point of contact for the Spec Pack department.
  • Acts as a liaison for communication between supervisor and other employees.
  • Adheres to and champions corporate safety and quality procedures and policies.
  • Acts on behalf of the Supervisor, within limits of authority, in his/her absence and/or as assigned.
  • Ensure all Spec Pack projects area completed and appropriately placed at the end of a day or shift.

  • Must be able to work weekends when needed.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    Education and/or

    Experience:

    High School Diploma or GED required. Associates degree or higher education preferred.

    One (1) to three (3) years of experience leading a team or group of people required.

    Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience leading a Team on a Production Line, or warehouse management role.

    Forklift or warehouse equipment certification preferred.

    Experience in a similar role in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment a plus.

    Language

    Skills:

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to communicate and follow instructions related to Safety Quality and Performance. Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

    Mathematical

    Skills:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar…
