This position oversees facility maintenance operations and guides staff who complete daily repair, construction, and training tasks within the institution. As a Corrections Facility Maintenance Manager 1, you will perform the following duties:

• Daily Oversight: Plan and coordinate routine operations for maintenance and trades tasks
• Staff Guidance: Provide direction, training, and review of staff and inmate worker performance
• Record Management: Maintain reports, inventories, and personnel records in line with facility standards
• Safety Enforcement: Inspect work areas and equipment to meet safety rules and respond to emergencies
• Tool Control: Monitor tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure security and proper use

• Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.

• Two years of experience as a Building Maintenance Foreman, Utility Plant Supervisor, or Corrections Tradesman Instructor (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) with a specialty in one of the trades of Carpentry, Electrical, Refrigeration, Plumbing, Sheet Metal, Machinist, Welding, Painting, Automotive, Electronics, or Masonry;
  or
• Six years of experience in the construction, maintenance or repair of buildings; or the operation, maintenance and repair of utility services equipment, including two years in a managerial or supervisory capacity;
  or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

• You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
