Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Techo-Bloc is a leading manufacturer in high‑end pavers and concrete landscaping products across North America. We are looking for a hands‑on Maintenance Technician to keep our manufacturing equipment operating at peak performance. This role focuses on troubleshooting, fixing issues quickly, and preventing breakdowns.

• Pay: $33–$42/hr base pay (based on experience) + year end bonus
• + $2/hr shift differential for hours worked 5 pm – 5 am

Shift: Monday–Thursday 5 pm – 5 am

Location: Douglassville, PA (serving Reading, Pottstown, Phoenixville, Exeter, Birdsboro, Boyertown and surrounding areas)

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace mechanical components such as motors, gear boxes, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and augers.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pressure issues, large cylinders, sensors, proportional valves, solenoids & pumps.
• Stick weld in various positions and joins throughout the factory.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs to minimize downtime.
• Splice, track, tension, align and replace conveyor components.
• Replace wear parts by disassembling, cleaning, inspecting and refurbishing or replacing components (e.g., gearboxes, hydraulic cylinders, bearings).
• Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, laser alignment tools.
• Repair, install and dismantle heavy industrial production equipment according to plans, including work at heights, climbing ladders and using mobile equipment (cranes, forklifts, scissor lifts, etc.).
• Document and perform all preventive maintenance tasks to maintain equipment dependability.
• Diagnose and replace faulty electrical components such as relays, load cells, switches, contractors, motors.
• Refer to technical documentation, electrical schematics, equipment manuals and service instructions to complete work accurately.

• 3+ years of experience in heavy industrial maintenance.
• Proficient with power tools, measuring devices, lathe and/or milling machinery.
• Experience using bearing heaters, interference fits, and removing gearboxes or seized bearings/shapes.
• Advanced stick welding and fabrication skills for heavy equipment.
• Basic understanding of motor controls, PLCs, and VFDs preferred.
• Experience with CMMS software.
• Basic industrial electrical experience.
• Experienced with rigging, hoisting and equipment installation.
• Experienced with precision alignment and fine adjustments.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.

Physical Requirements: The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 80 lbs; inspect and monitor machines; move throughout the facility; reach with hands and arms; ascend and descend steps and ladders; position self in tight spaces.
