Operator IV
Essential functions performed by the position include setting up, operating, inspecting, and maintaining production equipment, ensuring proper handling of materials and adherence to safety procedures. The role involves maintaining the production schedule, communicating changes, and working from blueprints and job specifications to produce jobs in the required sequence. The position also tests and inspects the production process to obtain the desired final product, ensuring quality and performance.
Routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs are performed to maintain ideal operating conditions. The operator determines appropriate packaging and shipping containers based on job specifications. Coaching and mentoring less experienced operators and acting as a team lead are also part of the role. The operator follows building security guidelines, including proper handling of security products and waste. All materials and finished products are inspected for defects and proper labeling.
Ongoing training is participated in to maintain and improve skills. Additional tasks and responsibilities are assumed as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
