Production Supervisor

Seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations, lead production teams, and ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards. The role is responsible for coordinating workflow, supervising employees, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and achieving production goals while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Supervise daily production activities and coordinate workflow to meet manufacturing schedules and customer deadlines.

Lead, coach, mentor, and develop production employees through ongoing training, performance feedback, and cross-training initiatives.

Monitor productivity, quality, staffing, and operational performance, implementing corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.

Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure the timely movement of products through the manufacturing process and resolve production issues.

Maintain compliance with quality, safety, and manufacturing procedures while ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Oversee first-piece inspections and verify products meet engineering specifications and quality standards.

Manage employee scheduling, approve timecards, and ensure balanced workforce utilization.

Maintain training records and ensure employees are properly qualified on applicable processes and procedures.

Promote Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S practices, continuous improvement, and waste reduction initiatives.

Monitor production metrics, prepare operational reports, and support staffing and capacity planning.

Assist with hiring, employee development, performance management, and disciplinary actions as needed.

Ensure proper handling of materials, equipment calibration, chemical controls, inventory management, and documentation.

Participate in production planning meetings and communicate operational status, risks, and improvement opportunities to management.

Perform hands-on production and assembly tasks when required to support workflow and production demands.

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or related education preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read work instructions, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Proficiency with computer systems and production reporting tools.

Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while managing multiple priorities.

Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.

Manufacturing/production environment requiring prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Ability to work extended shifts as required to support production schedules.

Occasional travel may be required.
