Pay $19.00-$22.00 based on experience plus $0.75 per hour shift differential
We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Mixer Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining mixer equipment to produce high-quality materials while meeting production schedules and safety standards.
The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced industrial environment. Additional responsibilities include production data entry, equipment maintenance, SOP support, and cross-training in other production functions as needed.
Key Responsibilities Mixer Operation & Production- Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and adjust mixer equipment with minimal supervision.
- Review production orders and verify EPDM materials and formulas before production.
- Gather required raw materials and accurately weigh ingredients according to specifications.
- Add materials to the auger and pump oil and water according to formula requirements.
- Operate mixer control systems to complete production runs.
- Pour completed mixtures into molds and prepare molds for processing.
- Use chain cranes and hydraulic presses to position lids and press molds to required specifications.
- Operate and maintain mixers, scales, presses, mold lifts, hoists, and polymer systems.
- Follow all cleaning procedures and SOP requirements for equipment and work areas.
- Follow all quality standards and operating procedures.
- Monitor products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with customer and company specifications.
- Verify formulas, material usage, and finished products to maintain high-quality standards.
- Operate forklifts, hoists, hydraulic presses, and bucket trucks to transport raw materials and finished products safely.
- Transfer, separate, and prepare EPDM bags according to mold specifications.
- Load materials into hoppers and production systems as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Clean equipment and surrounding work areas after each production order.
- Assist with grinding operations when needed.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance inspections and report equipment issues immediately to supervisors and maintenance personnel.
- Enter and review production data and work orders using company computer systems.
- Provide ongoing communication to management regarding production status and material quality.
- Cross-train in other manufacturing functions and assist teammates as needed.
- Attend departmental, production, safety, and company meetings.
- High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent manufacturing/machine operator experience.
- Previous manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to read and understand formulas, measurements, and units of measure.
- Basic math, computer, and data entry skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and adapt to changing production demands.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Previous mixer machine or related equipment experience.
- Forklift certification and/or operational experience.
- Bucket truck experience.
- ERP system experience.
