You will be embedded with the client’s engineering team, owning configuration and development activity associated with scaling the Ignition environment.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain Python scripts to customize Ignition SCADA functionality
- Configure new equipment interfaces as benchtop assets are onboarded
- Build and modify UDTs, tags, and alarming strategies aligned to GMP operations
- Support integration of PLCs and field devices into Ignition
- Collaborate with process, validation, and IT teams to ensure compliant deployment
- Troubleshoot and optimize system performance as system load increases
- Produce clear technical documentation suitable for regulated environments
- Hands-on experience with Inductive Automation Ignition in production or pilot environments
- Strong Python scripting for automation and SCADA customization
- Experience integrating benchtop or small-scale manufacturing equipment
- Working knowledge of PLC communications (e.g. Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent)
- Experience working in regulated pharmaceutical or life sciences manufacturing
- Ability to operate autonomously while aligning with site standards and change control
