Manufacturing Engineer

Allegiance Staffing is recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer for a well-established and growing manufacturing company in Lancaster, PA. This is a direct hire opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys improving manufacturing processes, leading capital projects, and driving operational excellence in a fast-paced production environment. If you're passionate about automation, continuous improvement, and solving complex manufacturing challenges, we'd love to hear from you.
WhatYou'll Do
- Lead manufacturing and capital improvement projects from planning through implementation
- Improve production processes to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and cost savings
- Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and production issues using structured problem-solving techniques
- Develop standard operating procedures, preventive maintenance plans, and equipment documentation
- Support automation systems including PLCs, servos, and variable frequency drives (VFDs)
- Analyze production data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Partner with Maintenance, Production, and Engineering teams to optimize operations
- Train and mentor team members on new equipment and processes
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with automation systems, PLCs, servos, and VFDs
- Project management and continuous improvement experience
- CAD experience (Solid Works and/or AutoCAD)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Food manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, or Quality Management Systems
- Six Sigma certification
- Experience with statistical analysis and process improvement tools
