Calibration Technician

Krieger Scientific provides engineering, commissioning, qualification and validation, calibration, asset management, relocation services, quality and compliance consulting, and technical staffing solutions to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies.

Krieger Scientific is hiring a Calibration Technician for a full time, long term client engagement in the Greater Philadelphia Area. The client develops and manufactures products used in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and advanced healthcare applications.

The Calibration Technician will work at the client site as an integrated member of the client team while remaining an employee of Krieger Scientific. The position may require travel to other client facilities within a 100 mile radius based on business needs.

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled calibrations on laboratory, manufacturing, process, utility, and facility equipment.
• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust, and calibrate instruments according to approved procedures and manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain accurate calibration records, work orders, equipment histories, and related documentation.
• Use CMMS or EAM systems to review schedules, manage work orders, track assets, and document completed work.
• Identify equipment that is outside tolerance and follow required escalation and documentation procedures.
• Work in laboratory, manufacturing, pilot plant, clean room, GxP, and non GxP environments.
• Follow site safety, gowning, access, and personal protective equipment requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, quality, laboratory, manufacturing, and operations teams.
• Communicate equipment status, calibration results, and technical issues to client and Krieger Scientific stakeholders.
• Travel to other client facilities within a 100 mile radius when required.

• Calibration experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, life sciences, laboratory, or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience with laboratory instruments, manufacturing equipment, process equipment, utility systems, or facility assets.
• Knowledge of calibration standards, measurement principles, equipment tolerances, and documentation requirements.
• Experience using a CMMS, EAM, or similar equipment management system.
• Ability to read and follow procedures, calibration instructions, technical documents, and equipment manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting, organization, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with client teams.
• Ability to work in clean room and gowning environments.
• Ability to travel within a 100 mile radius of the Greater Philadelphia Area.

• Experience with Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Manager.
• Experience with IBM Maximo or another CMMS or EAM platform.
• Experience supporting both calibration and maintenance activities.
• Experience in GxP laboratories, pilot plants, clean rooms, or regulated manufacturing facilities.

This position supports active laboratory, manufacturing, maintenance, pilot plant, and clean room environments. The work may require standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting equipment, wearing personal protective equipment, and completing gowning procedures.
