Shift: 7:00 pm – 7:30 am with every other weekend rotation

The Meadows Psychiatric Center is a 119‑bed inpatient behavioral health facility located minutes outside of State College, Central PA. The 52‑acre rural campus offers comprehensive care from children through geriatrics.

Full‑time status qualifies for a $20,000 sign‑on bonus.

• Provides professional nursing care for all patients on the Child, Adolescent, Stabilization, and Adult Units.
• Prescribes, coordinates, and delegates nursing care, overseeing unit activities each shift.
• Completes nursing assessments and documents care and progress each shift.
• Completes the Columbia Suicide Assessment on all new admissions and on any patient with a change in suicide risk level.
• Facilitates medication administration in accordance with safe medication practices, including patient education.
• Responds to all crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety.
• Attends Treatment Team meetings to assist in developing patient care plans.
• Oversees Mental Health Technicians and Licensed Practical Nurses working on the unit.

• Valid Pennsylvania registered nursing license or temporary permit to practice
• Genuine interest in psychiatric nursing
• Previous psychiatric nursing experience preferred, not required; on‑the‑job training is provided
