How you'll contribute:

A Nurse Tech who excels in this role:

  • Performs basic patient care as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possible blood glucose measurements, and accurate intake/output recording.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, ambulation).
  • Observes and promptly reports abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings to nursing staff.
  • Keeps patient rooms and common areas clean, safe, and appropriately stocked.
  • Manages the tech desk; supports nursing/physician staff and department throughput.
  • Documents care and activities per unit standards.
  • Participates in performance improvement and required education; performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for:

Requirements include:

  • Certifications:

    BCLS required;
    Handle with Care preferred.
  • Required Skills:

    Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment; rapid learning and navigation of multiple software systems; effective English communication (read/write/speak)
  • Experience:

    Minimum six months of experience in an acute or long-term care facility preferred.
  • Licenses: SRNA or EMT preferred
  • Education:

    High School diploma preferred.
