Veterinary Technician – ICU

Blue Pearl Pet Hospital in Langhorne, PA is hiring a Veterinary Technician to work in our ICU. You will deliver high‑level patient care in a fast‑paced, dynamic, and rewarding environment.

Schedule: 3 x 12‑hour shifts or 4 x 10‑hour shifts.

Pay: $21.00 – $43.00 per hour, depending on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system. Competitive shift differential pay is available for eligible night, weekend, and holiday hours.

• Mon – Fri: 6 pm to 8 am = $3.50 shift differential
• Sat & Sun: 6 pm to 8 am = $5.00 shift differential
• Sat & Sun: 8 am to 6 pm = $3.50 shift differential

We are seeking an exceptional Veterinary Technician who enjoys patient care in a challenging and collaborative environment. This full‑time position requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia in patients and use anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases as they arrive, obtaining vitals such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
• Perform digital radiography using proper technique and positioning of patients.
• Have a complete understanding of normal ranges of patient vital signs, including heart and respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
• Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs and alert the Veterinarian to changes and issues.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Calculate medical math (including constant rate infusions) and administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
• Perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters in all peripheral vessels.
• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
• Mentor and train other co‑workers.
• Address client concerns with patience and empathy.
