* Summary:

* The Lab Technician supports day-to-day laboratory operations, including upkeep of lab and supply storage areas, equipment, instruments, and general supplies. This role applies standard lab methods, techniques, and instrumentation in accordance with quality assurance programs and standard operating procedures.
** Hours** : 3rd Shift M-F with weekend and overtime as needed |
** Location** :
Lancaster, PA |
** Type** : 6-month contract with extension |
** Compensation** : $17.50-$18/hr

* Job Responsibilities:
*
* + Retrieve samples from sample control for analysis
+ Perform sample preparation tasks including aliquoting, spiking and tracing, reagent preparation, bottling, concentration prep, separation, sonication, and liquid rack setup
+ Identify and resolve labeling discrepancies to ensure sample integrity
+ Complete lab documentation, including analysis results, sample tracking, bench sheets, and logbooks
+ Wash and prepare glassware for next-day sample runs
+ Log incoming samples and maintain accurate daily records for quality control and regulatory purposes
+ Enter sample data into the laboratory information management system accurately and on schedule
+ Complete testing on incoming samples efficiently and within turnaround time expectations
** Quality & Safety:*
* + Follow applicable Quality System documentation (Quality Manual, SOPs, Methods)
+ Maintain compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and applicable regulatory/company standards
+ Follow all health, safety, and environmental protocols; help maintain a clean, safe workspace
*
* Skills:
*
* + Strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
+ Able to work independently and manage time effectively
+ Working knowledge of lab testing techniques
+ Able to analyze data and accurately document findings
*
* Qualifications:
*
* + High school diploma or GED required
+ 0-2 years of relevant experience
+ Prior lab experience helpful but not required
