Description of Work

This role focuses on guiding store staff and supporting daily operations in a busy retail environment. You will help keep the store organized, welcoming, and running effectively. As a Sales Team Lead, you will perform the following duties:

  • Shift Leadership:
    Lead store activities during your assigned shift and guide clerks through daily tasks
  • Customer Support:
    Assist shoppers by answering questions and helping them locate products
  • Sales Processing:
    Operate the cash register and complete sales transactions accurately
  • Store Operations:
    Stock shelves, unload shipments, and assemble displays to keep products available
  • Team Training:
    Show new or less experienced clerks how to follow store procedures and policies
  • Record Management:
    Complete shift reports and handle basic inventory and cash related tasks

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility Qualifications
  • Six months as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Six months of retail sales work

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirement
  • You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
