Work Designation
  • If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Pennsylvania/ Southern New Jersey, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.
  • If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Pennsylvania/ Southern New Jersey, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

Education & Experience Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Life and Health Licenses required in all assigned areas.
  • 5-7+ years of experience successfully selling Group Benefits to large and national employers.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of absence management sales experience including FMLA and PFML experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with top national size segment producers within the territory assigned.

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Principal

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Establish, manage, and maintain effective long‑term relationships with key National Account Producers (Brokers/Consultants) within the assigned territory to ensure quality partnership and access to opportunities.
  • Conduct site visits and capabilities meetings with assigned Producers to achieve sales targets.
  • Prepare multi‑functional teams and conduct finalist meetings on key opportunities to achieve sales goals.
  • Develop and execute plans to increase/gain opportunities and introduce products/services, management, & other resources to targeted Producer (Brokers/Consultants) partners.
  • Develop and execute sales plans to increase sales revenue & market share for the assigned territory and producers.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to achieve sales objectives focused on the organization’s overall strategy.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of all products, services, and operational structure to enhance ability to identify and target sales growth opportunities and utilize solution‑selling techniques.
  • Cultivate and close large case cross‑sell opportunities from the assigned in‑force Aflac block of business.
  • Positively contribute to the organization through market intelligence, feedback, and process‑improvement recommendations.
  • Perform in a manner that supports a positive company image, in compliance with all required rules and regulations, and ethically in all considerations.
  • Manage assigned expense budget.
  • Maintain knowledge of current and emerging market changes/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assess the impact, and collaborate with management to incorporate in current and future solutions.
  • Maintain sales call data in appropriate systems &/or complete sales reports.
  • Meet or exceed all sales goals for the assigned territory.
  • As a Key Resource, provide information and solutions by educating internal and external partners on the company’s products & services and capabilities.
