Position: Vice President, Sales (FIC)

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales in an assigned channel, team, or account to meet revenue goals by developing effective business plans and sales strategies.
  • Provide leadership and direction to sales teammates and teams through effective communication, setting expectations, and monitoring and driving sales drivers and results.
  • Implement and monitor programs to ensure attraction, interview, hire, train, development, and retention of quality teammates.
  • Manage teammates, including selection and hire, objective setting, performance management, development planning, capacity planning, disciplinary action, and terminations.
  • Identify and develop talented teammates likely to succeed in the company culture, create an atmosphere that motivates learning and growth, provide coaching and feedback to ensure professional development, and identify and groom teammates for advancement.
  • Effectively set and manage teammate and client satisfaction and retention goals.
  • Help define and execute strategic and operating plans for the organization and ensure a proper risk control environment exists.
  • Partner with operation support areas to ensure all SLA requirements are met and strong customer satisfaction scores are achieved.
  • Maintain and enhance client service levels and partner with operations leaders.
  • Keep abreast of new developments in the insurance market through periodicals, seminars, membership in insurance industry and professional organizations, and insurance brokers and carriers.
  • Identify and pursue new growth opportunities within region/territory/accounts.
  • Initiate and coordinate sales promotion activities and new product launches to achieve sales and profitability objectives.
  • Develop strategic business plans for assigned team and conduct effective planning sessions.
  • Develop sales strategies to increase sales metrics and results for the team so sales plans are achieved.
  • Monitor sales results of locations and communicate results.
  • Ensure the sales organization cross‑sells products from other lines of business, utilizes advanced sales techniques to increase average size premium, and achieves balanced performance from sales teammates.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies utilizing technology, marketing, CRM, and DSR.
  • Identify individual selling skills and product knowledge deficiencies.
  • Define target markets and blitz sessions, follow up on marketing efforts.
  • Develop, implement, and drive an effective lead generation and referral program.
  • Manage towards P&L and margin goals.
Required Qualifications
  • Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Effective time‑management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Work in a self‑directed fashion.
  • Experience with PCs in a Windows environment.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
  • Analyze problems and develop solutions.
  • Communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training and work‑related experience.
  • Five years of related sales‑management experience, including proven experience in business and strategic planning, sales management, budget management, people leadership and operations management.
  • Strong sales background in leading large sales teams or accounts and an established record of exceeding team sales quotas.
  • Significant sales and sales‑leadership experience in the insurance industry.
  • Proficiency in various insurance product lines and industry knowledge.
  • Strong project‑management, organizational and executive presentation skills.
  • Build strong, effective relationships as a leader, team member and resource in the organization.
  • Strong business acumen and general knowledge of service‑profit chain methodologies.
  • Possess and maintain appropriate FINRA registrations (e.g., Series6 and
    26).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry designations.
  • Advanced knowledge of Crump.
